Law enforcement officers responded to a case of mass poisoning in a restaurant in St. Petersburg.
An investigation into the incident has been initiated, the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the city reported on its Telegram channel.
Several visitors to a restaurant on Sizova Street (Primorsky District) were hospitalized with signs of food poisoning.
According to the Investigative Committee, at least 6 people sought medical attention. They were hospitalized and are currently under medical supervision.
Meanwhile, law enforcement officials have initiated a pre-investigation check.
The issue of initiating a criminal case under Article 238 (provision of services that do not meet safety requirements) is being decided.
Investigators are currently establishing the circumstances of the incident. Based on the results of their work, a procedural decision will be made.
