Law enforcement agencies in the Chelyabinsk region reported that a local resident drowned in his own home in the flooded city of Korkino.
It is indicated that the deceased is a 63-year-old man who was previously evacuated along with other residents of Korkino to a temporary accommodation center.
The police explained: “The deceased ran away from the temporary accommodation centre back to his home, where he went to bed,” as reported by RIA Novosti .

The drowned man was later found by RMK-Security employees who were evacuating livestock and animals.
Unexpected death
It is specified that the deceased had been intoxicated for several weeks.
As regional government officials previously indicated, on Saturday evening the Chumlyak River overflowed the dam near the city of Korkino.
This incident caused flooding of the settlement, as a result of which houses, including multi-story buildings, were damaged by water.
On Sunday night, employees of authorized bodies initiated evacuation measures.
