An incident that occurred in a Volgograd school on December 25 during the day has become known.
A man armed with a knife and with unknown intentions tried to enter the school grounds.
RIA Novosti learned about the incident from the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Volgograd Region.
It is specified that the incident occurred on the afternoon of December 25 in one of the general education institutions located in the Traktorozavodsky district.
Volgograd police received a report that a man armed with a knife was trying to enter the school grounds.
According to preliminary information, the unknown person may have been intoxicated by drugs.
A police squad, accompanied by the Russian National Guard, quickly went to the scene of the incident. Law enforcement officers neutralized the potential criminal, after which he was taken to the police station.
As the police specified, the detainee was a 52-year-old local resident. The motives for his actions remain unknown, and an investigation has been launched into the incident.
