A case of mass food poisoning has been reported in the Mari El Republic.
More than 30 employees of a local poultry farm were hospitalized.
The republic's prosecutor's office shared this information on its Telegram channel.
It is noted that the department initiated an investigation into the incident and also opened a criminal case under the article on the provision of services, the quality of which does not correspond to the safety of health and life of people.
Circumstances of the incident
The first cases of poisoning were recorded in the republic the day before. On 10 and 11 more than 30 people were hospitalized in local medical institutions.
The preliminary diagnoses given to the victims were staphylococcal infection.
According to preliminary data, all the victims had one thing in common: they ate salad prepared in the poultry farm’s canteen.
It is noted that the prosecutor's office is monitoring the timely and high-quality provision of medical care to victims.
