One killed, another wounded: reason for shooting in Abkhazia parliament revealed

The conflict with the shooting in the parliament of Abkhazia occurred because of cryptocurrency.

Deputies quarreled over the issue of a complete ban on mining in the republic.

On Thursday, December 19, a meeting of the relevant committee was held in the Abkhazian parliament, RIA Novosti reports.

MP Adgur Kharazia spoke in favor of banning cryptocurrency mining, which is impractical given the energy crisis.

Kan Kvarchia spoke out against it. He said that Kharazia was engaged in populism by demanding a ban on mining.

Then a verbal quarrel took place between the deputies. After that, Kharaziya took out a pistol and opened fire.

The first bullet hit deputy Vakhtang Golandzia. The parliamentarian subsequently died.

Kvarchia was also wounded. The bullet hit him in the shoulder, his life is not in danger.

Kharaziya, realizing what he had done, ran out of the parliament building and disappeared in an unknown direction.

The Prosecutor General of the Republic, Rustan Tyrkba, reported that the deputy is still being searched for and his whereabouts are being established.
