The Prosecutor General of Russia Igor Krasnov sent a request to the Federation Council.
The essence of the petition is the need to strip Senator Dmitry Savelyev of immunity.
It is emphasized that the said person is suspected of involvement in organizing a crime related to the murder of a person, as reported by TASS .
It is reported that by sending the request, Krasnov is acting “in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation.”
Need for request
Later, the Federation Council disseminated information regarding the approval of the request of the Prosecutor General of Russia.
It is emphasized that the Federation Council established Savelyev’s involvement in organizing the murder.
From the relevant resolution, in particular, it follows: “The request of the Prosecutor General of Russia has been satisfied.”
At present, employees of authorized services are monitoring the situation within the framework of the specified incident.
