False information spread through social media has led to attacks on migrants.
The events unfolded in the city of Kyzyl in the Republic of Tyva.
In the regional capital, information was spread that an underage resident was infected with HIV after a foreigner attacked her, RIA Novosti reports.

This false information quickly spread throughout local communities online and caused great outrage among local residents.
After this, law enforcement officers recorded several cases of attacks on people from Central Asian countries.
Residents of Kyzyl gathered in groups and tried to deal with the migrants on their own, who were in fact not guilty of anything.
As a result, several people who work at the trading base were injured.
Investigators looked into the situation and refuted reports that the young resident of Kyzyl was infected with HIV.
But the fact of an attack on a minor was confirmed. The attacker was detained and sent to custody.
Work is being carried out separately on the participants in the attack on the workers of the trading base. They have been detained and investigations are underway.
Representatives of the regional government called on citizens not to succumb to provocations.
The head of the republic, Vladislav Khovalyg, received news of the events in Kyzyl while he was on a business trip to Moscow.
He said he would hold a special meeting on the issue upon his return.
