An expert has explained what to do to avoid being struck by lightning while outside in bad weather.
The organizer of survival courses, certified rescuer of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Eduard Khalilov shared a comment on this topic.
In a conversation with Radio 1 , he said that any metal objects that create electromagnetic waves increase the risk of being struck by lightning.

A smartphone or other electronic device could also be a target, the expert warned.
If the weather starts to deteriorate, you should immediately think about shelter. The best option is a fundamental building (shopping center, store, etc.), metro, car.
If lightning strikes a car, the person will not be hurt. In this case, the person is isolated, as if in a capsule.
But you definitely shouldn't hide under trees. Lightning often strikes them. It often happens that trees fall right on people after being struck.
In addition, lightning can strike an umbrella, the rescuer warned.
