Rosaviatsia commented on the situation with the increased number of incidents involving aircraft.
This is due to the increase in the number of flights.
This comment on what is happening was given by the Federal Air Transport Agency, TASS reports.

As noted by the organization, compared to the same period in 2023, in January-October 2024 there were 6% more flights.
In connection with this, the passenger flow has increased significantly and incidents involving failure of one of the aircraft engines have become more frequent.
Rosaviatsia reminded that modern twin-engine aircraft are designed in such a way that they are able to continue their flight even if one of the engines fails.
Rosaviatsia aircraft crews are constantly briefed and know how to act in practice in the event of an engine failure.
The department assured that the increased number of incidents does not in any way affect Russia’s position in the global flight safety trend.
