As the investigation established, four minors have already died due to counterfeit drugs sold to them.
Circumstances of the case
The criminal group, which, according to preliminary estimates, included at least 27 people, was organized in 2023 by two brothers.
They created a whole network of establishments disguised as pharmacies. In total, checks were organized at 50 addresses in various populated areas.
Here it was possible to buy counterfeit drugs without providing the necessary prescription to purchase the medications.
It is noted that the network operated until June 4, 2024.
When her activities were discovered and stopped, the organizers of the illegal pharmaceutical business, Petr and Andrey Osmanov, as well as the manager of the network of illegal pharmacies, Kristina Lutsenko, fled from justice.
