The Kaliningrad police reported the incident on their official page on the social network VKontakte.
As noted in the publication, shooting at street dogs began in the village of Kolosovka in the Kaliningrad region. The incident was recorded on September 21, but information about it was only made public now.
A woman who witnessed animal cruelty reported the shooter to police.
It turned out that the offender's actions injured two local dogs named Dzhulbars and Gina.
Caring volunteers took the injured animals to a veterinary clinic, where doctors diagnosed the dogs with multiple bullet wounds.
Law enforcement officers have opened a criminal case under the article on cruelty to animals. The identity of the shooter is being established.
