An explosion occurred in a residential building in Novorossiysk.
The incident occurred on Tuesday evening, August 20. According to preliminary information, one person died and several were injured.
An explosion was heard on the Anapa highway in Novorossiysk. Some media reported that it was a domestic gas explosion.
But RIA Novosti, citing a source in law enforcement agencies, reports that it was presumably an RGD grenade that exploded. This happened in a residential building on the thirteenth floor.
It is specified that a combat anti-personnel fragmentation grenade ended up in the hands of minors. One of the teenagers detonated it.
As a result, one child died. Three more were injured to varying degrees of severity and were hospitalized.
An investigation is underway into the incident, and the circumstances of the incident are being established. Emergency services are working at the scene of the emergency.
