In the Omsk region, they were able to detain a suspect in the murder of a 15-year-old schoolgirl from Moscow.
The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Irina Volk, confirmed this information on her Telegram channel.
The detainee turned out to be a 41-year-old local resident. He had previously been convicted of violent crimes.
According to investigative authorities, in July 2024, the girl arrived in Omsk with her parents.
On the afternoon of July 22, she left the hotel and disappeared without a trace.
Three days later, her body was found near the boat station.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the child's body was found in the Irtysh River near a local park.
The investigation into the child's murder is ongoing. The police are working to clarify all the circumstances of the tragedy.
