An incident that occurred in the Tambov region has become known.
Two people have died so far in the domestic gas explosion.
Governor Maxim Egorov reported on the incident on his Telegram channel.
According to the head of the region, a domestic gas explosion in an apartment building occurred at 4:55 local time (the same as Moscow time).
The incident took place at 29 Kommunisticheskaya Street, located in the city of Kirsanov.
It is noted that the epicenter of the explosion was on the fourth floor of the building, resulting in a partial collapse of the residential building's structures.
People were evacuated and the fire was contained by 5:41 a.m. According to preliminary information, at least two people are believed to have died as a result of the incident.
A total of 8 people were injured as a result of the incident and sought medical assistance.
All the victims were taken to a medical facility, but five of them later refused hospitalization.
