The installation of special lifts in houses is a striking example of this.
36 lifting platforms for people with disabilities will appear in the buildings of the North-Eastern Administrative District. They will be installed this year. The details are reported on the website of the mayor and government of Moscow with reference to the deputy head of the Moscow capital repairs department, Yevgeny Adamov.
It is noted that specialists are actively working. They have already connected 13 platforms. Installation work will continue soon.
According to Adamov, the platforms will appear in different areas of the city, for example, in Ostankinsky, Severny, and Yaroslavsky.
He noted that vertical lifts are the most convenient. They are installed in spacious entrances.
In addition, in addition to lifts, specialists install ramps, create an additional entrance to the building, and install handrails at the entrance.
The number of lifts installed in Moscow entrances from 2011 to 2023 amounted to almost 2 thousand.
