Summer is the time when people want to go to the water to rest and relax.
During this period, the number of deaths on the water increases, especially among children.
Since April of this year, 14 children have drowned in Moscow region reservoirs. RIA Novosti reports details with reference to the Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Moscow Region, Ksenia Mishonova.

It is noted that this year the spring was warm, so many people started swimming quite early.
According to Mishonova, deaths of people on the water began to be noted already in mid-spring.
She clarified that since the beginning of April, there have been 23 incidents on the water, of which 14 children died.
The Ombudsman believes that high temperatures will have a negative impact on statistics.
According to Mishonova, it is important to pay attention to prevention in order to prevent deaths on the water. It is important for parents to keep an eye on their children and not let them into places that are not intended for swimming.
She noted that among the dangerous places for swimming are former quarries, reservoirs in SNT, private ponds. There are no lifeguards there.
The Ombudsman called on parents not to lose their vigilance during water recreation.
