In December, there was an increase in the number of arson attacks on various administrative buildings in Russia.

In connection with this, the capital's prosecutor's office warned about the dangers of talking to telephone scammers.

The department disseminated this information on its Telegram channel.

Let us remember that we are talking about actions that citizens perform under the influence of telephone scammers.

Criminals call Muscovites and, under various pretexts, persuade them to commit crimes.

For example, they pose as law enforcement officers and force citizens to commit arson, allegedly in order to return stolen funds.

At the same time, the Moscow prosecutor's office emphasized that law enforcement officers never call citizens. And, even more so, do not fight crime using illegal methods.

The department emphasized that citizens face criminal liability for damaging someone else's property. Depending on the severity of the crime, a person may even be sentenced to imprisonment.
