According to the document, it will now be impossible to build apartments in Moscow that have an area of less than 28 square meters.

This footage does not include balconies, loggias, vestibules and cold storage rooms.

It is noted that the minimum area of one-room apartments must exceed 28 square meters.

A minimum area for two-room apartments has also been established: it must be no less than 44 square meters.

It is noted that this initiative was taken by Moskomexpertiza. The agency sent out a letter in May of this year notifying that it intends to issue negative conclusions to all developers who plan to build small-sized housing.

The resolution signed by Sobyanin entered into force from the moment of signing on August 1, 2024.
