Russian Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Savelyev announced that travel on the new high-speed railway in the capital will cost 10 thousand rubles.
In particular, we are talking about the line that runs from Moscow to St. Petersburg.
Savelyev emphasized: “Investments in this highway turned out to be quite significant,” as reported by Rossiyskaya Gazeta .

According to the official, 1.755 trillion rubles were spent on the construction of the high-speed railway.
It is also claimed that if the ticket price is 10 thousand, it will be difficult for the highway to compete with air travel.
Fare
As the chairman of the Union of Passengers Kirill Yankov explained, it will be more profitable for Russians to buy a plane ticket for 3-4.5 thousand rubles without luggage.
Accordingly, according to Yankov, many citizens of the country will prefer to travel by plane rather than by high-speed rail.
The Chairman of the All-Russian Association of Passengers, Ilya Zotov, also spoke on this issue.
Zotov explained that it is too early to talk about competition today, since the aviation industry is also being modernized.
