In New York, women staged a mini-action in the hall where the UN Security Council meeting was taking place.

This happened during a speech by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

On Wednesday, July 17, the UN Security Council will hold open ministerial debates on the conflict in the Middle East, RIA Novosti reports.

Particular attention is paid to the issue of Palestine and its recognition in the world political arena.

As Lavrov began speaking, two women in the media section of the hall stood up.

The activists began to shout: “The people of Israel are alive!” Lavrov called on them to express their position more clearly and explain to him what they were trying to achieve.

At that moment, security approached the women. They asked the activists to leave the hall.

They complied with the demand without objection and left, accompanied by security. Meanwhile, Lavrov continued his speech.
