The head of the German Foreign Ministry commented on the political situation in Syria.
According to Annalena Baerbock, Israel and Turkey should not interfere in the process of establishing a unified Syrian government.
This is how the head of the German Foreign Ministry spoke about the conflict in Syria, RIA Novosti reports.
Baerbock believes that the international community must make every effort to help Syria find a path to a peaceful future.
At the same time, under no circumstances should this process be allowed to be interfered with from outside.
Syria must not again become a ball in the hands of foreign powers, said the head of the German Foreign Ministry.
By these forces, Baerbock means Turkey and Israel, which are defending their own security interests.
However, the politician believes that these actions should not interfere with Syria and call into question its territorial integrity. In her opinion, this is precisely how Ankara and Tel Aviv can threaten Damascus now.
