An employee of the British secret service has infiltrated Russia under the guise of an employee of the diplomatic mission.
Details were reported by the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday, November 26.
Recently, British Ambassador Nigel Casey was summoned to the Russian department. Now the reason has become known.
The Russian Foreign Ministry has lodged a strong protest with Casey in connection with the submission of false information by embassy employee Wilkes Pryor upon entry into the Russian Federation.
Russian authorities have discovered that Prior has connections to British intelligence services.
It was also established that this embassy employee could have been conducting intelligence and subversive work within the country.
The diplomat who provided false information will be expelled from Russia.
In addition, Moscow will tighten requirements for filling out questionnaires by employees of the embassy of this kingdom.
