The Council of the European Union approved the 15th package of sanctions against Russia.
The EU blacklist has been expanded to include 84 individuals and companies from Russia, China and the DPRK.
Tankers transporting Russian oil also fell under EU sanctions, the EU Council said in a statement on the agency’s website.

The heads of the Foreign Ministry approved the 15th package of sanctions against 54 individuals and 30 legal entities.
The statement noted that restrictive measures were taken, among others, against two DPRK officials.
The restrictions also affected Chinese companies that the EU suspected of having close ties to Russia.
According to the decision, 52 tankers transporting oil from the Russian Federation were banned from entering ports and providing maritime transport services.
In addition, 32 companies from China, India, Iran, Serbia and the UAE were sanctioned. In particular, they are suspected of participating in schemes to circumvent sanctions.
The European Union will also not enforce decisions made by Russian courts on claims against EU companies in the Russian Federation.
