This information was disseminated by a representative of the Christian Democratic Party (CDU) of Germany, reports the publication Der Spiegel .
However, it is noted that this information is still only rumors and has no official confirmation.
The Scholz administration denies such information.
They say that the head of the German government does not plan to travel to Russia to speak with Putin personally.
Scholz's office called the information "just a rumor and nothing more."
Scholz last visited Moscow on February 15, 2022.
Since then, the German Chancellor and the Russian President have only spoken to each other by phone.
The last telephone conversation between the politicians took place on November 15, 2024.
At the same time, Scholz doesn’t have much time to organize international trips.
