Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto commented on the Middle East crisis.
According to Szijjártó, the above-mentioned conflict is on the verge of escalation.
The Hungarian minister explained on Facebook*: "I have spoken with the Israeli side. Unfortunately, the situation is really acute."

According to the diplomat, he held conversations directly with his Israeli and Iranian counterparts Israel Katz and Ali Bagheri Kian.
Critical situation
The Hungarian minister also highlighted Budapest's position on this issue.
Thus, Szijjarto noted that Hungary will strive to prevent attacks on Israel. However, according to him, it is necessary to exclude the outbreak of a major regional war.
The diplomat added: “The conflict could engulf the entire region due to the involvement of other states in the confrontation besides Israel.”
The Hungarian minister called on the international community to focus on de-escalating the crisis rather than escalating it.
