Failure to comply with the requirements for anti-terrorist protection of facilities will entail criminal liability for up to 7 years.
The relevant federal law came into force on July 1.

According to the law, criminal liability is provided for if the guilty person was previously subject to administrative punishment under Part 1 of Article 20.35 of the Code of Administrative Offences or prevented the provision of these requirements several times within 180 days.
A fine of up to 80 thousand rubles is imposed in the event of causing serious bodily harm or major damage.
It is also possible to be restricted or deprived of liberty for 3 years with a ban on holding certain positions.
Imprisonment for up to 5 years is provided for in the event of a violation of the requirements for anti-terrorist protection of facilities, resulting in the death of a person.
The possible prison sentence will increase to 7 years if more than two people are killed.
According to the head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Alexander Khinshtein, the introduction of criminal liability for violating the above requirements will help prevent new tragedies.
