One of the NYT insiders is a member of the elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

According to them, Iran made a request for the delivery of S-400 air defense systems. This was done during the visit of the Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergei Shoigu to Tehran.

Sources claim that Moscow has responded positively. Iran is allegedly already receiving advanced radars and air defense equipment.

Recently, the Russian Ambassador to Washington, Anatoly Antonov, stated that the issue of providing weapons to the enemies of the United States has been raised in the Russian Federation on numerous occasions.

Iran is on a list of countries with which Washington has strained relations, which also includes North Korea, Venezuela, Cuba and a number of other countries.
