The European Union has added 16 individuals and three organizations to its sanctions list for Russia's destabilizing actions abroad.
Among others, the deputy general director of the Gazprom-Media holding, Tina Kandelaki, fell under Brussels sanctions.
Also on the restricted list was GRU unit 29155, which is listed as secret in the document, the EU Council statement emphasized.

In addition, several Russians, whom the EU classifies as “GRU employees,” were sanctioned.
The new sanctions package, according to the EU foreign ministers, is a response to Russia’s malicious actions.
The European Union has criticized Russia for its disrespect for the international order and undermining the core values of the European Union.
The Foreign Ministers stressed that Russia undermines the security and stability of member states through hybrid activities.
