The Kremlin has spoken out regarding the so-called price ceiling for Russian oil.
As Vladimir Putin's press secretary noted, the introduction of restrictions will create risks for the global energy sector.
This comment was given by Dmitry Peskov, RIA Novosti reports.

Let us recall that since December 2022, a price ceiling has been in effect for Russian oil, introduced by the G7 countries.
According to it, oil transported from Russia cannot be purchased at a price higher than $60 per barrel.
It has recently become known that the G7 countries intend to tighten these measures even more. In particular, a complete ban on refining Russian oil or a reduction in the price ceiling from $60 to $40 per barrel is not ruled out.
As Dmitry Peskov emphasized, such measures are dangerous primarily for those countries that constantly introduce restrictions.
As a result, the stability of international energy markets may subsequently be shaken.
