The Minister of Foreign Affairs responded to Yerevan’s decision on the CSTO.
Sergei Lavrov reported that Moscow “hears the talk,” but Armenia has not yet officially left the organization.
The head of the department stated that no corresponding document had been received from Yerevan, RIA Novosti reports.

For now, Nikol Pashinyan is limiting himself to talk and speculation about the possibility of Yerevan leaving the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
The Russian side and its partners do not intend to impose their position on anyone, Lavrov emphasized.
But the minister is confident that it is in Yerevan’s own interests to maintain membership in the CSTO and use its participation in the organization “to the maximum.”
If Armenia does make an official decision and the corresponding document is provided, then no one will interfere with the republic.
“This will be the sovereign right of the current Armenian leadership,” the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized.
Russia and other CSTO members “are not closing the door” to Armenia, the minister summed up.
