The decision taken by the Estonian Ministry of Justice has become known.
The Estonian authorities no longer intend to spend money on translating laws into Russian.
RIA Novosti reports this with reference to Estonian media.
It is noted that the Estonian authorities want to save money in this way.
According to media reports, the authorities spent around 13 thousand euros annually to update Russian translations.
At the same time, according to the Minister of Justice and Digital Technologies Liisa Pakosta, from now on only those legal acts that were published in the national language will have legal force.
It is noted that at the moment half of all laws of the country have already been translated into Russian. She also previously worked on updating existing translations.
Translations of draft laws into English are carried out routinely. They are regularly published and updated in the official publication of the government of the country, Riigi Teataja.
