The EU is reported to be planning to add more individuals and entities to the existing list of restrictions.

The measures are aimed at companies in Russia and third countries that indirectly assist Moscow in technological and military terms.

These sanctions, according to EU ambassadors, will reduce the number of loopholes for circumventing export restrictions.

The Hungarian Presidency clarifies that sanctions have also been approved regarding the operation of additional ships from third countries that support Russia's actions.

The European Union managed to agree on the fifteenth package of anti-Russian sanctions on the fourth try.

During the third discussion, the ambassadors of Latvia and Lithuania refused to approve the measures.

The European Union may officially introduce the 15th package of sanctions by the end of 2024.
