The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, spoke about when the children of citizens who returned to the Russian Federation first learned about their nationality.
It is emphasized that this refers, in particular, to Russians who returned to their homeland as part of an exchange with the American side.
The above procedure took place in the Turkish city of Ankara, as reported by RIA Novosti .
Peskov said: “The children of our citizens who returned to the Russian Federation first learned that they were Russian only in Turkey, in Ankara.”

Yesterday, August 1, the FBS Public Relations Center of Russia released information that eight Russians detained abroad had returned to the Russian Federation.
The persons mentioned were imprisoned allegedly for carrying out espionage activities for the Russian Federation.
Türkiye acted as a mediator in the implementation of the exchange procedure with the American side.
