The UN's top judicial body has sided with Palestine and pointed out Israel's violation of international law.
The position of the leading international body was outlined by the court's chairman, Lebanese lawyer and diplomat Nawaf Salam.
On Friday, July 19, a session of the UN Court on the situation in the Middle East was held, RIA Novosti reports.

Salam said the Palestinian territories captured by Israel were annexation.
According to him, the Jewish state's settlement policy does not comply with its obligations under international law.
The UN court believes that Tel Aviv is violating the Palestinians' right to self-determination.
But in this case the authority only issues a conclusion, which does not have binding force, unlike decisions.
Under Israel's current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the country's settlements on the West Bank are expanding quite rapidly.
The process began back in 2017, when Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
