The visa was cancelled on the eve of the event.

Zakharova's visa was issued by the Maltese Presidency of the Visa. However, it was later cancelled due to circumstances beyond their control.

In this regard, the Russian Foreign Ministry pointed to an obvious crisis in the OSCE against the backdrop of contradictory actions by a number of Western countries.

The ministry also noted that in its current state, it is difficult for the organization to act as a world reformer.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommended that the organization move closer to the SCO, BRICS, and CIS, which operate under fundamentally new conditions.

Lavrov is scheduled to meet with the heads of the foreign ministries of a number of countries on the sidelines of the Foreign Ministers’ Council in Valletta.
