Do not use expressions in relation to children that are harmful to their psyche.

You should not forget that you are talking not to an adult, but to a little boy, and you, as a parent, are the most important authority for him, whose careless words can seriously traumatize the fragile child’s psyche.

In moments of childish stress and loud hysterics, mothers and fathers need to remain calm and self-controlled, not yell at the child, not scold, not criticize and, of course, not hit.

Sometimes, ordinary kind words from a beloved parent can instantly change a child’s mood, but you should understand what phrases can be said to a child, and which can have the opposite effect and throw the boy out of mental balance for a long time.

Here is a list of phrases that are undesirable for a child and should be avoided:

Don't cry! You're an adult!

Children cannot help but cry; for them, this is a natural reaction to pain, stress, fear, resentment, and other external stimuli.

Parental prohibition on the expression of feelings can later lead to isolation and difficulties with communication.

Don't run, or you'll fall!

Allow your child to do normal childish things - run, jump, scream, laugh, etc. And when you are worried about your child's safety, it is better to use words like: "Be careful", "Calm down", "Be more attentive".

You'll see - after one or two falls, your child will learn to run faster than you! Of course, you can't scold a child for careless falls, he is already in pain and grief, and parents are adding fuel to the fire.

You can't

Children develop differently. A boy may lag behind his peers in some ways, but he is undoubtedly superior to many of his peers in others.

It would be better to identify the child’s strengths, develop them and rejoice with him in his successes.

It's not a problem if your child has difficulties - he will soon catch up. A little patience and parental help - and your baby will delight you with new achievements.

Do whatever you want, just calm down.

It is better to do things together with the child, and not leave him alone with fleeting desires, which often change depending on his mood.

Indulging in whims is not right from the point of view of education. In the future, this problem can lead to selfishness.

You won't succeed

A child should gain experience on his own, and even if the baby fails, it’s temporary.

If you don't let a boy do anything at all, he will remain a clumsy person for a long time. People learn from mistakes, and it is the parents' duty to help and correct them.

A child expects parental support and mom and dad must live up to his expectations, otherwise he will be disappointed not only in his family, but also in his own personality.
