As paradoxical as it may sound, you can feel lonely even in a crowd of people.
Many people are familiar with this feeling firsthand, and therefore it is worth understanding its causes.
Where does the feeling of isolation come from?
Loneliness in a crowd is a complex feeling because its causes are not always obvious. Its danger lies in its cumulative effect and the fact that it can creep up on you.

For example, feeling disconnected from other people can be caused by a lack of social connections, when a person has no friends or significant other.
And each person has their own established concept of the ideal. And the less a person corresponds to it, the more alienation they can feel next to people similar to their ideal.
Alienation can also be caused by stress and life changes, such as starting a new life in an unfamiliar city.
And another reason lies in low self-esteem, when a person convinces himself that no one will accept him as he is.
