Google Play Notifies Sellers of Ban on Monetization for Apps from Russia

The company will block payments for applications to developers from Russia.

From December 26, in-game purchases and subscription updates will allegedly become unavailable, the Habr portal reports.

Google Play is suspending payments for apps to developers indefinitely.

The company has notified sellers about the ban on monetization for applications with a bank account in Russia.

Google Play aims to reject user attempts to purchase paid apps, make in-app purchases, and renew paid subscriptions starting December 26, 2024.

The measure will come into effect on December 26. Payments will be allowed until January 15.
