A large cloud of plasma will rush towards Earth after recent solar flares.
This was reported by Sergei Bogachev, head of the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
He explained that an extremely unfavorable geomagnetic forecast for the coming days was predicted, taking into account the powerful solar flares, RIA Novosti writes.

The plasma cloud has an extremely heterogeneous structure.
Bogachev said that in the worst-case scenario, level five storms similar to the events of May 2024 could occur as early as Thursday.
The most likely scenario, in his opinion, will lead to the emergence of a level four storm lasting up to two days.
Bogachev clarified that the plasma cloud is enormous in size and the Earth will not be able to avoid it.
The emission of plasma towards the planet can provoke the appearance of magnetic storms, the total duration of which can be up to several days.
