Novgorod State University student Varvara Andreeva reported that she had come up with a means that can blind unmanned aerial drones.
According to the student, we are talking about a device that carries out passive, non-contact combat against UAVs.
In her official Telegram channel, Andreeva wrote: “The device initiates the formation of a spatial-volume curtain.”
The radiation has the principle of laser glow. The innovation itself is completely autonomous.
New development
As the Novgorod State University student explained, the UAVs must enter the radiation zone.
The curtain itself extends within 100 meters, the area is on average 20 square meters.
The student noted: “When a drone passes through such a field, the development automatically blinds it or turns it off completely.”
It is reported that Varvara Andreeva’s innovation took first place in the VIII International Scientific Research Competition “Best Research Article”.
