As a result of strong solar flares, powerful magnetic storms will hit the Earth on September 16.
Events can develop according to two scenarios.
Details were revealed by specialists from the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy of the Space Research Institute and the Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics.

They explained that one of the scenarios involves major magnetic storms on Monday and Tuesday.
According to the second forecast, the magnetic storm diagrams will not change – there will be no disturbance.
The probability of the first scenario is said to be 53 percent, the probability of the second is 47 percent.
Experts estimate the probability of a powerful magnetic storm occurring on Monday at 30 percent, and on Tuesday at 35 percent.
The magnetosphere will return to a stable state no earlier than the second half of the day on September 17.
If the first scenario is realized, the impact on Earth can be expected on Monday closer to midday.
The storm could last up to 30 hours, peaking on Monday evening.
