85-year-old Ian McKellen has announced that he has no plans to end his acting career.
Despite his advanced age and a recent injury, the actor who played Gandalf in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit is ready to play the grey-haired wizard again.
RIA Novosti reports this with reference to interviews that the celebrity gave to several foreign publications.

On June 18, an elderly actor fell off the stage while playing a role in one of the London theaters.
McKellen required hospitalisation after suffering wrist and neck injuries in the incident.
The 85-year-old actor had to cancel his tour due to an injury.
However, the actor does not rule out that he will soon return to his star role of Gandalf.
"I won't let anyone else wear a pointy hat and a beard," McKellen said.
At the same time, the actor noted that he will rest until the end of the year, and then is ready to return to the stage again. It is possible that McKellen will be involved in playing a role in the future film "The Lord of the Rings. The Hunt for Gollum", the release of which is scheduled for 2026.
