New details of the "marathon queen" case have emerged.
According to human rights activist Elena Blinovskaya, the statute of limitations for the case of tax evasion has already expired.
The blogger's lawyer, Bulat Soltakhanov, made this statement to RIA Novosti journalists.
As the human rights activist noted, the statute of limitations for the article on tax evasion by an individual expired on July 15.
In connection with this, Elena Blinovskaya may be released from criminal prosecution under this article in the near future.
According to Soltakhanov, such a decision may be made by the investigator and the court when they begin to consider Blinovskaya’s case.
Let us recall that the blogger was detained in 2023, she was accused of tax evasion in the amount of 918 million rubles.
The "marathon queen" was placed under house arrest, but she violated its terms and was placed in pretrial detention.
Along with her, Blinovskaya's husband is also a defendant in the case; he is accused of aiding and abetting and is currently in the SVO zone.
