Cinematographer Leonid Burlaka, who filmed “The Meeting Place Cannot Be Changed,” has died.

Burlaka, who lived his entire life in Odessa, died at the age of 85.

The death of the cameraman was reported by the Odessa branch of the National Union of Cinematographers of Ukraine, writes RBC .

Soviet, Russian and Ukrainian cameraman Leonid Burlaka worked together with director Stanislav Govorukhin.

As a cameraman, he filmed the famous movie “Loyalty” with Pyotr Todorovsky Sr., and “The Meeting Place Cannot Be Changed” with Stanislav Govorukhin.

The cameraman's death became known on the morning of September 15.

Burlaka died at the age of 86 after a long illness.

It is noted that the farewell is planned for September 17 at the Odessa Film Studio.

Burlaka worked with many outstanding directors.

His most significant work was the popular TV series “The Meeting Place Cannot Be Changed,” starring Vladimir Vysotsky.
