Singer and actress Selena Gomez has announced her engagement to music producer and songwriter Benny Blanco.
Gomez showed fans a photo of her diamond ring.
She wrote on her personal blog that "forever starts now."
Blanco commented on his lover's post with the words "this is my wife."
Many world-class singers and actors congratulated the couple on their engagement.
Gomez and Blanco went public with their relationship about a year ago. The couple spoke glowingly of each other.
Now, according to Blanco, he is absolutely happy to wake up in the morning. He also stated that Selena Gomez is the best and most sincere person for him.
Blanco is credited with co-writing songs that have topped the charts of music industry giants.
Gomez became one of the youngest self-made billionaires in the United States in September.
