Almost half a ton of explosives were seized from underground arms dealers in Russia.
Details were reported on Saturday, August 31, by representatives of the Federal Security Service (FSB).
This summer, operatives were actively working to find and stop the activities of underground workshops creating and modifying weapons, including explosives.

FSB officers carried out the work jointly with units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Russian National Guard, TASS reports.
Over two months (June-July), law enforcement officers detained 288 people in 51 regions.
An impressive arsenal was confiscated from them. Thus, 586 units of firearms and 153 thousand cartridges were removed from illegal circulation.
We are talking about both domestic and foreign models. The gunsmiths owned pistols, machine guns, grenade launchers, flamethrowers, grenades and mines.
In addition, during the operational work, law enforcement officers seized over 467 kg of gunpowder and TNT and almost a hundred electronic detonators.
This arsenal was collected after the suppression of the activities of 92 illegal workshops in different regions of Russia.
