Members of the Federation Council believe that such a measure will reduce the number of cases of fraud, violence, threats and other risks associated with the donation of real estate.
At the first stages of work on the amendment, it was proposed to exclude verification by a notary in cases where the contract is concluded between spouses or other close relatives.
However, in the second reading, the State Duma deputies approved the bill, from which this exception was removed.
