In Russia, more than 20 websites were disguised as charitable foundations and fundraising resources.
The attackers posted information that was not true, using photos of people from social networks.
FACCT specialists found out that 21 active domains were disguised as charitable foundations and fundraising resources, RIA Novosti writes.

A connection has been found between fake charity foundation websites and one-page websites that collect money for the treatment and rehabilitation of children.
At the same time, the attackers post photos of real people from social networks and use fake information.
The attackers were found to be operating from abroad, targeting five well-known Russian aid organizations.
Fraudsters copied the design and content of websites of official organizations to deceive users.
On the fake websites, the funds' payment details were replaced with their own details.
The scammers also sent out mailings with links to fake resources.
Currently, fake domains are blocked in Russia.
However, experts warn that attackers may create new ones.
They recommend checking postal addresses and details with those indicated on the official websites of the funds.
