Experts have recorded a sharp increase in tourist flow from Russia to Vietnam.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko spoke about this.
Statistics for January-October 2024 show that Vietnam has become rapidly gaining popularity among Russians as a holiday destination, Interfax reports.

Over 10 months, the tourist flow to this popular Asian resort country has grown by 81.5% compared to January-October 2023.
More than 177,000 Russians visited Vietnam during the specified period in 2024.
During this time, 45,000 Vietnamese citizens visited Russia.
Chernyshenko noted that the establishment of direct air links between the countries has become an incentive for tourists.
The launch of electronic visas also played a role, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.
Over time, Vietnam may become a competitor to Thailand in terms of tourist attractiveness for tourists from the Russian Federation.
So far, this country is considered one of the most popular among Russians.
