The head of the Magadan region signed a new law.
According to the document, from July 15, the killing of stray animals will be officially permitted in the region.
RIA Novosti reports this with reference to the published document.
It is noted that the regional prosecutor spoke out sharply against this decision. Nevertheless, the Magadan Regional Duma deputies approved the permit for the murder, which will come into force on July 15.
It is noted that it will be applicable to animals whose owners have not been found within 15 days. Information about animals in temporary holding facilities will be distributed on the Internet.
After the above period, the animals will be euthanized.
All animals found on the street without owners are subject to capture. Moreover, even sterilized and marked dogs with signs of being kept at home are subject to these measures.
